The Children's Emergency App offers you first aid measures, doctor search, and checklists.

The larger the radius in which children move, the greater the danger zone. A part of this concern is now alleviated by the Children's Emergency App. It provides checklists and tips for increased safety and offers assistance in emergencies, responding appropriately to minor injuries, sudden illnesses, or life-threatening situations. It also features a search function for pediatric practices, emergency rooms, and pharmacies in Germany. In case of a serious emergency, there is a direct and quick-access emergency call function.

The Children's Emergency App offers the following content and features:

  • Information and measures for first aid: Various symptoms and first aid measures are explained and conveyed through easy-to-understand and illustrated instructions. This allows previously learned first aid knowledge to be applied correctly and purposefully in case of an emergency. An optical and acoustic metronome assists with cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Additionally, there is information on childhood illnesses.
  • Doctor and pharmacy search: The app enables a quick and location-specific search for pediatricians, emergency rooms, and pharmacies.
  • Emergency call function: A emergency call can be quickly made through the Children's Emergency App. Furthermore, the provided "5 W questions" help in providing the exact information needed in case of an emergency call.
  • Preventing dangers and taking preventive action: The Children's Emergency App helps with intuitive checklists and comprehensive information to prevent accidents and emergencies as much as possible so that they do not occur in the first place.

The app is based on national and international guidelines of the European and German Resuscitation Councils, as well as on information and experiences from nationwide "First Aid for Children" courses by Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe. The University Hospital of Münster is the scientific partner for the development of the app. The Children's Emergency App is a guide for young parents and anyone dealing with children, aiming to help safely apply skills learned in a first aid course.
